Duna takarék. Nicely done but a shame this one quote was missing. Put the pick in there, Pete, and turn it 'round real neat. This is an excellent edit of the original material. It is far far better than the dog's breakfast Rafaella Di Laurentiis forced David Lynch to bring to the screen. I have only two minor criticisms. I think you can eliminate all of the internal dialogue from the characters. Their acting shows what they are thinking, without having to add it in the voiceover. The internal dialogue is awkward and redundant and distracting. I think the film would be much stronger without it. Secondly, the navigator voice is, actually kind of weird. I think I prefer the original, deeper voice. However I know this is somewhat controversial. A large being should have a very deep voice, even though one might argue that the spice gas chamber might alter that. The angry outburst is weak in my opinion, and not becoming of such authority. They don't need to get angry. Their mere presence is enough to bring fear and motivation to the emperor. Just some thoughts. But all in all, head and shoulders above anything I have a found on DVD or BlueRay.
Once men turned thinking over to machines in the hope, that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with the machines to enslave them. so true. Duna machine. Wait! is that Michael Bolton at the 2:15 mark playing drums. The reason I think I never quite got into Dune when I was younger is that when you say it in my accent, it sounds like 'June' which caused much confusion when trying to talk about it. Lol, sean reshadowing. The sad thing is that this is how i tell stories. Ive watched dune several times and only now do I sort of understand the shit. This was a true delight - Thank You. I've been catching up on your videos for a few weeks now. I very much enjoy them. I would love to hear your thoughts on some other worlds. Niven's Rimworld? Farmers Dayworld? Maybe some thoughts about Donaldson's White Gold Wielder? Elric of Melnibone? How about a look at Pohl's Heechee's? It's obvious that you love the pieces you do videos on, so always let the guide your selection on what to do next. I'm just hoping you'll do a couple more of my favorites and maybe introduce me to something I haven't picked up.

The Slug Forces Shall Attack. If the new version of Dune doesn't have a soundtrack done by Grimes I'm going to be pissed. Dunaways. Just imagine if Jodorowsky's Dune would have been finished. It would have changed cinema forever globally. This was like if star trek and game of thrones had a baby. Sting was a pleasant surprise, possibly the best character in the whole movie next to Baron Harkonnen (Kenneth McMillan. MY Rollies that don't tick-tock, but MY AUDEMARS IS LOSING Time, Kayne, ROARROARS. One of the last of the big set films. I simply can't tolerate CGI. no matter how good. I done seen this pop up a time or two and it seems like ultra high high science fiction and before this deep star wars lore is as deep as I've done so y'all wish me luck 🥴🥴.

The sets and costumes in this film are great.
